Executive staff: Our Management Team

Brice Baxter, Owner/Estimator

Brice founded Baxter Construction in the summer of 1995. Through the years he has continued his education and earned his C.G.R. and C.A.P.S. designations. Brice was named Remodelor of the Year for 2007and 2008 by the Central Washington Home Builders Association. Brice serves as chairman of the Tour Of Remodeled Homes, chairman of the Home Show, & chairman of the Remodeler's Counsel.

Brice's primary role is working directly with the customers and estimating their jobs. Brice is very active at his church, Trinity Family Fellowship. He is also on the school board at Riverside Christian School.

His hobbies are hiking, hunting and golfing. He loves spending time with his wife, Melissa and their five sons.

Darren Smith, General Manager

Darren has been with us since 2006. He is certified as an AHERA Building Inspector for the purpose of verifying if there is or is not asbestos containing building materials. His responsibilities include: Human Resources, Customer service, computer networking, website development/maintenance, purchasing, and advertising.

Darren and his wife Renee have been married for 26 years and have six children, four girls and two boys. They run a faith-based aftercare ministry, helping individuals to overcome addictions and build good and noble lifestyles.

Armando Gonzales, Estimator

Armando grew up in Yakima. He has about 8 years construction experience. He specialized in framing, siding and finish carpentry. He has been married for 7 years to his wife Blanca. They have a son Ezra Benjamin.

Gene Hayward, Estimator

Gene came to Baxter Construction in August of 2011. Gene has lived in the Yakima Valley for all of his life and is known in the Construction Industry for his work in the Construction Equipment Rental and Sales sector. Gene is married to his lovely wife Tami and has four kids and two grand-kids. When Gene is not at work he is working at home in the yard and every fall since 1983 Gene can be found Officiating High School Football in the Yakima Valley. Gene is involved with his church and currently serves as the Head Usher.

Tracy Carr, Project Manager

Tracy has been with us since 2003. He has proved to be a valuable asset to our team. He currently serves as a Project Manager. Primarily he supervises most of our addition projects. So if you looking to expand your borders Tracy is most likely going to see your project through from start to finish. He also is our go to person if we need any windows or doors installed.

Tracy loves spending time with his wife and grand kids. He loves baseball and has been seen on a few golf greens in his off hours.

Mari Urlacher, Office Manager

When you call Baxter Construction you are most likely going to hear Mari's friendly voice. If you have questions regarding meeting with an estimator or billing, Mari is the one with whom you need to talk. Mari has been keeping us organized since 2002 and we are grateful that she is a part of our team.

Keith Rumble, Research and Development Manager

Keith started with Baxter Construction in mid-2011. He is currently our point man on Easy Water products. Keith works with Brice in research and development of new company opportunities.

Keith enjoys everything from photography and doing design work on the computer to spending time outdoors, fishing, hiking and climbing. He and his wife Alicia have two boys.
