Yakima Vandalism Repair

Vandalism Repair Specialists

Vandalism & Other Perils

Whether your home has been damaged by vandals, intruders or by someone driving carelessly, we are always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to respond quickly to your situation. We can provide emergency board-up service and structure stabilization to ensure that your property is secure and safe while you are awaiting more permanent repairs. We can also repair and restore your property after a crime scene investigation. At Baxter Construction LLC, our 16 years of experience and expertise in insurance restoration proves that the job will be done right, the first time.

What can you do?

There are some steps you can take before we arrive. Just remember that your health and safety are more important than your belongings, no matter how priceless. Follow the guidelines presented to you by your local law enforcement agency and please don't take any unnecessary risks.

  • Report the damage to your insurance company as soon as possible. You can also report your loss to your agent.
  • Before attempting any clean-up, first check with the police in order to preserve the crime scene. Save any containers that may help identify the chemical composition of inks, paints or cosmetics used during a vandalism incident.
  • Do not attempt to operate damaged appliances.
  • Wipe up freshly spilled food from carpeting and fabrics with a dampened cloth or sponge (do not over wet). Blot, do not rub, damaged area. Rubbing may cause fuzzing and damage carpet fibers.
  • Hose down egg residue from the building's exterior as soon as possible. Also wash any egg residue from the walls with cold water-no soap as quickly as possible. Do not attempt to remove paint, ink or cosmetic stains.
  • Retrieve and retain all broken pieces of porcelain and art objects.
  • Save all wood chips or broken pieces of furniture.
  • Do not attempt to remove large pieces of glass from window panes or picture frames. Carefully vacuum smaller glass particles from carpets and upholstery.
  • If you must relocate, even temporarily, give your insurance company a phone number where you can be reached.
